I love Hooked on Phonics! My 4 year old son was interested in reading when he was 3, so we bought the entire Hooked on Phonics curriculum and he's on level 4 and reading so well! No other 4 year old in his Sunday School or co-op is reading as well as he is and it's incredible! He homeschools for many reasons but one reason was because I was public schooled and learned to read by word memorization not phonics and even today as an adult I find it hard to pronounce words I haven't seen before.

What age is the best to start?

Our Pre-reader section starts with the sounds of letters and letter recognition. Most children start around age 3–4, but if your child starts showing interest sooner and can sit through a 15–20 minute lesson, we encourage you to give it a try!

How does the guarantee work?

We guarantee that your child will improve a Hooked on Phonics level in 30 days when used for 15–20 minutes a day. Even if your child does not progress a whole Hooked on Phonics grade level, we will gladly refund the price you paid for the trial, for any reason, and the product you receive is yours to keep.

Does it work for kids with learning challenges?

Every day we hear from families with learning challenges who have had success with our program. We encourage you to join our Facebook group to ask questions and hear from other parents and caregivers!

Can it be used offline?

Yes, it can! Download your chosen lessons while connected to the internet and they’ll be saved in the App to be played offline!
