Learning to write in cursive is making a comeback. At least 25 U.S. states now mandate that students learn to write the alphabet in cursive.
Aside from the well-documented cognitive and sensorimotor benefits, learning cursive also gives children the ability to complete future tasks like reading – or signing – important documents. Share a cursive alphabet worksheet with your child to help their development of this important life skill.
For younger children, print letter tracing practice is also essential.
